Questions, Answered Honestly

Fixed fees, always. After the discovery call and diagnostic review, we provide a proposal with a ceiling price. If the project takes longer than we estimated, that's our problem — your invoice stays the same. We do this because hourly billing creates a weird incentive where the longer the project takes, the more the consultant earns. That dynamic never made sense to us. Our typical engagements range from $8,000 for a focused contract review to $45,000 for a full governance framework build. We'll give you a specific number before any work begins.

About 30 days from kickoff to handoff for most projects. A targeted contract review or vendor assessment might wrap up in two weeks. A full ISO 9001 quality management system build is closer to five to seven months. We'll give you a specific timeline in the proposal — and we build in weekly check-ins so you always know where things stand. If a project is at risk of slipping, you'll hear from us before it happens, not after.

Short answer: yes. We've managed multi-site engagements across 18 locations simultaneously. The difference between us and a large firm isn't capacity — it's that the person who sells you the project is the same person who does the work. We don't have a bench of junior analysts waiting for assignments. If we take your project, it means a senior person has the bandwidth to lead it personally. And if we don't have the bandwidth, we'll tell you honestly and recommend someone who does.

Our core experience is in municipal government, education (school divisions), healthcare networks, energy, and manufacturing. But the truth is, governance frameworks and process optimization look pretty similar across industries. The specifics change — the methodology doesn't. If you're in an industry we haven't listed here, just call. We'll tell you within ten minutes whether we're the right fit or not.

Absolutely. We're based in Calgary, but a significant portion of our work is with organizations across Alberta — from Edmonton down to Lethbridge and out into the rural districts where we originally started. Most of our workflow is remote-friendly: document reviews, process mapping sessions, and weekly check-ins happen over video. For on-site work like staff training or knowledge capture interviews, we'll travel to you. No surprise travel fees — travel costs are included in the fixed project price.

Every project ends with tangible, usable documents — not a slide deck full of charts. Depending on the engagement, that could include governance frameworks, risk registers, RFP documents, vendor assessment reports, training materials, contract review summaries, standard operating procedures, or ISO quality management documentation. You'll also get 30 days of follow-up support after handoff at no additional charge. Wondering if something's a deliverable? Ask during the discovery call and we'll specify it in the proposal.

Call us at (203) 863-6076 or send an email to [email protected]. We'll schedule a 30-minute discovery call — no prep needed on your end, no pitch deck on ours. We just listen, ask a few questions, and then honestly tell you whether this is something we can help with. If it is, you'll have a proposal within 48 hours. If it isn't, we'll point you toward someone who can help. Either way, the call is free and there's zero obligation.

Still Have a Question?

We'd rather talk than type. Pick up the phone or send an email — you'll hear back the same day.
